We have been living in a new place now for about 4 months.

We really like this city, and we love our neighbors, and the kids are thriving in their new school.

It's another transition. Another change. Another adjustment. A season of loneliness.

God doesn't EVER leave us alone. He is always with us. Sometimes being alone in his presence is enough.

Sometimes we need other people. Which is why last Saturday made my heart almost burst.

One of the blessings of living in this big city is the variety of missionaries and mission organizations. It's been amazing to see how God is spreading the message of his love through so many different people and so many different ways.

One of the organizations here is VERY hospitable. When they plan an event, they include ALL of us. That has been just what my lonely heart has needed. So, last Saturday I headed out with this group of ladies to spend a day in a BEAUTIFUL garden full of orchids, shade trees, tropical flowers and even a creek.

We sang, we ate, we shared, but most of all, we spent time alone with God.

Besides spending an entire day with my God, my favorite part of this wonderful day was the diversity represented in this small group. Ten nationalities! All of us from different places, different cultures, different backgrounds, but our hearts woven together by the same God.

In the family of God, loneliness is short-lived!
