Race Day!

Josh ran his first Stateside race a few days ago. It was a 20 mile trail race (and a very rough trail at that!). We all went to see him off and then came back about 3 1/2 hours later to cheer him over the finish line! We are very proud of our runner!

And they're off!

After the race, Josh and his proud wife!

The Lake

We love to come up to Washington to see some of the other Moffits. And we love that they live right on a beautiful lake!

The girls love rowing the windsurfing board around the lake, while Neo collects lilies, Josh makes beautiful music, and I, well, I mainly just sit like a big, lazy slug on the dock....except on the day these pictures were taken.

Birthday Flowers

What can I say,
It was a beautiful day,
At the house I did stay,
While Josh took the kids away to play!

Wiggin' Out

We spent last week wiggin' out at my sisters. Not just because there were 6 kids and four adults under one roof for 5 days...but we literally wigged out (as can be seen in the photos below).

Our visit started out with a celebration of Naomi's life. The kids swam and played and ate cake...and the adults wore wigs (for some unknown reason) - which of course the kids then had to try on too!

Neo and his beautiful cousin spend some quality, non-wig time in the water feature.

Josh encourages his nephews to wig out a little before the party.

Daisy and her aunt share a special moment...while a somewhat howard-stern-looking,
wig-wearing adult looks on.

The Fair

Josh loves the fair, me, not so much. But, in the name of 'family fun' I decided to tag along to the good ol' Del Norte County Fair last week. You know what amazes me about the fair? In this world of constant change - the fair is still exactly how it was when we were kids! Same exhibits, same animals, same rides (the zipper will never die!), same smells, same sounds, same delicious funnel cakes.

I loved the quilt exhibit, the kids loved the rides, and none of us loved the pigs.

Ally flies through the air with the greatest of ease.

Neo enjoying the rides (while I have a mini nervous breakdown!)
