Family Photos and Thanksgiving

Oh, aren't family photo shoots a blast with THREE kids...but, wonder of wonders...we got a few good ones!

Thanksgiving - it looks a bit different at our house. All of our family is a bit on the 'brown' side, but because of Jesus, they are really, truly family!! And, of course, along with turkey, rolls and mashed potatoes...we need to cook up a big ol' pot of rice!

We really have SOOOO much to be thankful for:

1. Family- immediate, extended, adopted, in Christ.
2. Health.
3. Clothes on our back, food in the cupboard.
4. A car to drive.
5. Clean water to drink.
6. An education for our kids.
7. A God who loves us.
8. A Savior who saved us.
9. And my personal favorite...as of two weeks ago...a hot shower!! Wahoo!!

A Visit

We just had a visit from our 'field leadership'. Well, that's their official title, we just call them 'friends'. It was so nice. So refreshing. And so wonderful to have a whole weekend of English conversation!!

Thank you, Roans for coming in.

Neo and his friend.

Josh getting some help fixing up a cabinet.

A game of 'baseball' to finish up the weekend.

Fun Times

Birthday parties. Tala Andig birthday parties have nothing to do with the person having a birthday. There's no hats, no cake, no gifts...just lots of people and lots of food! We love being invited to a birthday. It generally happens on the spur of the moment...like at 4:00 in the afternoon someone will come to the house and say 'dinner at our place, see you at 5:00!'. We have learned to become very flexible!! :)

Fruit is always a hit. We live in vegetable land, but there isn't a lot of fruit. So, when we go to town we stock up! Last week, 3 friends and I (and Neo) had a watermelon eating party...Neo, I think, had the most fun!!
